You're seeing life by the tip of the cigarette
You look around but there's no one there
When the empty cup means the end of the day
You want to ask her one more time to stay
So you light up and pick up the phone
But that's when you remember she's gone
While filling up to make things right
You wonder if you can make it through the night
 - Can you take it any longer?
Maybe you just need something stronger

You feel like you're sinking in your chair
You should know by now Life was never fair
But still we dare to hope, and to pray,
That one day she'll come back to stay
One more sip, let our sunken eyes gaze
But we can't make anything out in the haze
Another bottle to our left, ashtray to the right
To help us dodge the nightmares tonight
 - And when there's no more strength to borrow
We just hope we make it to tomorrow.
With this breath of smoke and alcohol
I could have the world, I could have it all
And with this broken mirror on the wall
I could have the world, I could stand tall
I have my eyes, my hands and my voice
Whatever I do with them is my own choice
And I choose to face the mirror everyday,
Face the mistakes of the past and the ones on the way
With a glass and a lighter some might say
But with a clear head, and I face them anyway
So what if my scars show in the sunlight?
Let them glow, let them be fierce and bright!
They're past, and past is irretrievable
And the future has always been unknowable
So live for today, for the mirror on the wall
And you can have the world, you can have it all.
