Under another
cold starry night at London
I stand alone
smoking all my fears away
Notions of
crickets are brought by the wind
In between
the roaring sounds of a busy town
I spot a
cat’s eyes floating among shades of grey
And I wonder if
I just made another friend
Blurred by
the fog there are planes and lights,
And my body’s
shaking from the strange weather
This cat
purring on my lap almost feels like home
But home is a
world away, under a sun so bright
Where the warm
falling rain feels much better
Than this
cold wind that is freezing me to the bone.
So we finally
are where we’ve always wanted to be,
Kissing life
in the mouth while dreams come true
Who would’ve
thought it would feel so good?
It’s as if
there were a thousand words inside of me
And none was
perfect enough to be heard by you
But after
all, perhaps neither they should…
My body’s
still sitting here, absorbing the night
Even though
my mind’s reaching for the stars
That the
clouds are trying to hide in the blue
However, the
young clouds are losing this fight
So between
sights of planes and sounds of cars
I can’t
forget that these stars look down on you too.
